Strain Information

Information Mixed culture composed of two closely related strain variants: Majority component strain 'Type 2' accessioned as a separate isolate designated NCYC 4046. Minority component strain 'Type 1' accessioned as a separate isolate designated NCYC 4047.
Reported as behaving quite like a lager yeast in practice and produces "somewhat of a sulphur aroma" during fermentation which often persists into the final beer.
